Rode Ntg5 Review | Short shotgun mic for interior interviews?

However, there's a lot of opinions out there regarding whether or not you should use a shotgun microphone, or use a hypercardioid microphone. This is due to the phasing issues that will occur due to a shotgun microphone's interference tube. However, from what I gather, a short shotgun microphone (like the Rode NTG5) sits in a happy middle between a shotgun microphone and a hypercardioid pencil condenser mic.
