The world of sustainability reporting has experienced two significant developments: the IFRS Sustainability Disclosures Standards, and the new European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) These developments are a “significant milestone” in the realization of a strengthened global corporate reporting system, in which disclosure on impacts through the GRI Standards and sustainability-related risks and opportunities through the ISSB are on an equal footing.
