In G-d We Trust?

At Mount Sinai, the Jewish people received a mandate to bring an awareness of G-d to the world and share His message with its citizens. So why do Jews resist adding G-d into the equation when weighing and discussing important national issues such as elections, immigration, abortion, and welfare?
