OFF GRID GETAWAY close to BRISBANE | Farm Stay Camping Sunshine Coast

This week we’re ditching the chaos of Brisbane city and heading north to Landsborough with our Next Gen Ford Ranger and Network RV caravan. We’ve found an awesome Hipcamp called Rocky Creek Grasslands, and after navigating our way in, we’re welcomed by a couple of baby goats and a few cows — how good is a proper farm stay in South East Queensland? While we’re here, we fire up the OzBraai firepit, kick back watching some cricket, and soak up the peace and quiet of camp life. Not far away is Montville, the perfect spot for breakfast at The Edge Café, followed by a wander through town checking out what’s on offer. We also tackle the Mt Ngungun summit walk, a cracking early-morning hike to get the blood pumping, with epic views across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. After the walk, we whip up breakfast back at camp before heading to The Barrel at Clouds Vineyard, where Chelsea enjoys a wine tasting and pizza — not a bad way to spend the afternoon. As we leave the Landsborough area, we stop in at Beerwah to fill up with water and use the dump point before heading back toward the city. Our next stop is Westcloud Camp in Burpengary, a bit of a chores stop while the Ranger gets repaired and we smash out a heap of editing.
