The name certainly tells us a good part of what's known about the villa, but paradoxically, nothing else is known! Indeed, it's a villa shrouded in mystery, and nothing in its beautiful rooms gives any indication of its former owner. The villa belonged to one of the town's wealthy lords, a mountain lord who owned one of the most profitable textile factories in the area. Since the 1980s, as history teaches us, the sector has undergone a drastic decline, causing half the town to leave the valley where this magnificent home now sits, abandoned.
