VOX PATHFINDER 15R LED MOD (NO LED vs GREEN LED)

VOX PATHFINDER 15R LED MOD (NO LED vs GREEN LED) comparison test. Some time ago I tried taking out the clipping LEDs on my Pathfinder 15r (LED mod) but I was never very happy with the results, I thought it ruined the sound. The sound became too dry, sterile and thin (in a certain way), I found it lacked character at every gain setting and the sound is more of a "Solid State" in my opinion. So I put a couple of green Leds instead of the original reds, to increase the diode clipping forward voltage a bit, to gain a tad more headroom and now I'm very happy with the results... The amp is now more tighter, dynamic and responsive with more harmonics and better overall equalizer. Maybe I could try to experiment changing one green Led with an ultrabright one to make an asymmetrical clipping but right now I'm very happy with the result. Here's my comparison test...
