Turn - Major Hewlett & Anna - May it Be

"A promise lives within you now." For someone who was recommending Major Hewlett be shot in Season 1, Anna Strong has certainly changed her tune by the end of Season 2. The often pompous major has revealed himself to be the most socially inept man imaginable when it comes to Anna. It’s pure joy to see this adorable nerd in action. You get the feeling she loves to watch him squirm. She sits back, says nothing and listens to him dig himself into a deeper mess. Anna realizes that his attentions to her can benefit the Patriots and she uses him. But she seems to be blindsided by her feelings for him after he gradually reveals himself to be a scholarly, deep thinking and sensitive man. It’s also fun to watch him flip in and out of “major mode”. So Hewlett is loyal to the king (nauseatingly so) and to Anna. He is growing far more sensitive to the townspeople, seeing them as individuals. She’s loyal to the Patriots and appears, to him. At some point she’s gonna have some ‘splainin’ to do. What a beautiful mess. We can only hope it turns out well. They both deserve it. Almost everyone in this show is using someone for something. Let’s hope Abe stays out of this relationship. Anna has finally found someone who treats her with the respect she deserves. There’s just one little problem…. It’s hard to believe that I’ve just made a vid about the guy who was an evil sociopath on Forever. Wow! to Burn Gorman. I’ll take Major Hewlett over Adam any day – although I never knew whether to feel sorry for Adam or not. Song credits are at the end of the video. Amazing song by an amazing artist. And it works so well for these two in this time.
