Going Back On His Word

The plaintiff says he was hired by the defendant to do some website and app design, but he only got two-thirds of the money promised. He’s suing for the money owed. The defendant says he took the defendant in, gave him a place to stay, and offered a letter of reference. He says he owes him nothing.
