O ERRO evolutivo que nos tornou os animais mais dominantes

Why do humans have so little visible hair when other primates remain covered? The answer begins under the microscope: our skin still has many follicles, but it has gained an extraordinary density of sweat glands capable of cooling the body through evaporation. In this video, we investigate the main hypotheses for the reduction of human hair. Thermoregulation, parasites, sexual selection, and the aquatic hypothesis are compared with evidence from anatomy, physiology, genetics, fossils, and thermal models. The result reveals why sweat, exposed skin, and prolonged activity formed such a useful combination in the evolution of the genus Homo. But the functional lack of hair alone does not explain human expansion. Heat-releasing skin also depends on water, protection from radiation, shelter, and clothing. It was the interaction between this physiological advantage, cooperation, tools, and accumulative culture that helped humans occupy very different environments across the planet. #humanevolution #biology #anthropology #humanbody #science
