//// (Ambient) Music for Airports on the Roland MC-101 - Demo and Turorial I tried to re-create an ambient music loop inspired by Music for Airports 1/2 by Brian Eno. The original composition is made of eight short sequences recorded on tapes of different lengths. The tapes loop simultaneously, but their different lengths create a calm and pleasing ambient music. The initial instrument is a piano, but more instruments are introduced later. On the MC-101 we have only 4 tracks available, so the idea is to continuously record the note sequences live on different tracks. Don't worry if they overlap, or to play them in the exact tempo. When the whole loop becomes "full" just let evolve it for a minute, then clear one track, and record on it again. The sequences can be picked in random order, and you can experiment with other notes/chords/octaves, if you make a mistake, simply clear the sequence.
