Hootch Hootch 1974 acid psych rock

Hootch - Hootch (1974)acid psych rock Originally released in 1974 on the Pro- gress Records label, this mysterious LP offers a blend of great experimental psych and mindblowing guitar jams. It was recorded as a high school project, and mainly given to friends at time of release, so very few copies were pressed and locally distributed in homemade purple silkscreened sleeves. Hootch - Hootch very rare 1974 private press experimental acid psych rock with some nice stoned jams. From the world of mid-70s indie label psychedelic rockers we have this little known offering apparently recorded by teenagers. It's basically fodder 'music to burn incense by' but I'll confess to getting something of a kick out of it, it's authentic for what it is and doesn't fall into the 'exploitation movie' pit of so much instrumental psych, particularly the heavier cuts like the opener and "Arabian Style". There are a few places where it strips back to just solo guitar which sounds nice and atmospheric.HorseMouth Sep 29 2018 Track listing A1 You Can't Come In 0:00 A2 African Boogie 5:41 A3 Golden Valley 10:10 B1 Blue Bird 14:10 B2 Eyes of the Raven 18:16 B3 Arabian Style 22:50 Personnel: HENRY ERKELENZ A THOMAS S.
