A defective factory OPDA can cause engine damage and loss of oil pressure so replacing it is cheap insurance against a catastrophic failure. If you have a check engine light on and it's thrown a P0016 code it's more than likely an issue with your OPDA and you NEED to check the wear on the OPDA gear and your cam gear!
