Slade - Lock Up Your Daughters (Music Video, 1981)

The music video for Slade's 1981 hit Lock Up Your Daughters. It was filmed on 7 September 1981 at Portland Studios in London. Lock Up Your Daughters was released as a single on 4 September 1981 and appeared on the album Till Deaf Do Us Part when it was released over two months later. The song was written by lead vocalist Noddy Holder and bassist Jim Lea, and was produced by Slade. According to guitarist Dave Hill, although he did not receive a writing credit, he wrote the guitar solo. The single peaked at number 29 in the UK charts and sold about 96,600 copies by November 1981. It was the first Slade single to be released directly through RCA Records (they handled the distribution on the band's previous Cheapskate releases). The song reached BBC Radio 1's 'A List' (earning it a place on the station's 'Featured 40') and also received airplay on various independent local radio stations.
