Bourbon Barrel Clock - DIY

Watch how to make a simple wall clock using staves and a ring from an old bourbon barrel! In this video I'll show you how I took a few simple materials and turned them into a rustic clock. I used a clock mechanism that I had laying around my house, but if you don't have one you can buy these in many places. Places like Amazon and Rockler carry these mechanisms new, or you can even try to find and disassemble a used clock from a local second hand store. Bourbon Barrels can be a bit more tricky to find. I would suggest searching Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. If you buy individual staves instead of a whole barrel (like I did), try to find staves that came from the same barrel and even better if they were actually placed next to each other within the barrel. I didn't do this and I think the clock would have turned out better if I had. Enjoy!
