Vlog 089 Welcome back to the channel! In today's vlog, we are heading out for an exciting trek to the beautiful Tikona Fort (also known as Vitandgad). After nearly two years, I am finally getting back on the trekking trail, joined by my friend Ganesh! Located near Pauna Lake, Tikona Fort is famous for its unique triangular, pyramid-like shape. It’s an ideal trek for beginners, taking roughly 45 minutes to an hour to reach the top from the base village. Join us as we explore the rich history of this fort—from its origins in the 6th-7th century, its time under the Nizam Shahi dynasty, to when Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj brought it into Swarajya. Historically, this fort played a crucial role in monitoring the Bor Ghat trade route and keeping watch over neighboring forts like Lohagad, Visapur, and Tung. 📌 Important Note for Trekkers: Please keep the mountains clean! The fort is very well maintained with dustbins provided along the route.
