Che si può fare, Barbara Strozzi - Dom Tower Hemony bells, Utrecht
Barbara Strozzi (1619–1677) was an Italian baroque composer and singer. Strozzi published eight volumes of her own music, and had more secular music in print than any other composer of the era. This is the first movement of Che si può fare (What Can One Do), originally for Soprano and basso continuo. Arranged by Jennifer Lory-Moran and published by GCNA, available in hard copy or pdf here: https://gcna.org/music-store#!/Che-si... This performance is taken from my concert on Utrecht's Dom Tower on July 15, 2024. The historic 17th century Hemony bells of this instrument really bring this piece to life. Thank you to Malgosia Fiebig for hosting me!
