"DIFÍCIL, MÍSTICA E BRUXA" | Clarice Lispector

By Nádia Batella Gotlib. "With all due respect to witches, Clarice was a fairy" In his book *Inventário das sombras*, Rio de Janeiro critic José Castello, one of the aforementioned privileged figures (of the "deserving" class), devotes special attention to Clarice. In his text *A senhora do vazio*, a chronicle that opens the collection of accounts of great writers, Castello recounts a bar conversation that, at a star-studded table, brought up the writer's "witchcraft." Castello was also present, along with Vinicius de Moraes, about whom introductions are a shame, and the writers Otto Lara Rezende and Caio Fernando de Abreu. Abreu, a self-confessed enchanted follower of Clarice's writing, spoke about the unique character of her writing. Otto Lara was quick to warn him, noticing the "hypnotism" that was affecting his colleague: "What Clarice does is not literature, but witchcraft." https://congressoemfoco.uol.com.br/pr...
