#TEST SsangYong Tivoli Onyx 1.5 T-GDI 163 KM

From the outside, the Tivoli looks intriguing. Its sleek silhouette beckons you to peek inside. And inside… The first impression is stunning. A vast center console, with a built-in 9-inch multimedia screen, is wrapped in piano-like black plastic. Stylish, but not quite my style. The Tivoli I tested was in the Onyx trim level. The test car was powered by a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 163 hp and 260 Nm of torque. It was paired with a 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission (an additional 7,500 PLN option). This powertrain configuration makes the Tivoli very dynamic, a pleasant ride, and the gearbox works flawlessly. The suspension is firm enough to bounce over bumps and soft enough to cause the car to roll slightly when cornering. In this case, it's difficult to guess the design cues used by the designers. The steering works well, but at higher speeds, it's a bit too light. It stiffens up when Sport mode is engaged, and that's the only noticeable effect of this mode.
