Jakub Hrůša: «Guest conducting can be a journey»

In 2011 Gramophone named him as one of the ten conductors «on the verge of greatness». Jakub Hrůša is Chief Conductor of the Prague Philharmonia and Principal Guest Conductor of Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra. In 2013 he conducted the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg. We seized the opportunity to ask him a few questions. In this interview Jakub Hrůša explains the challenge of conducting three very different orchestras and the difficulty of being guest conductor. He also briefly describes Rêverie by Scriabine, the Concerto for violon and orchestra by Shostakovich and Borodine's Symphone N°2.
