https://audio.dev/ -- @audiodevcon Workshop: Dynamic Cast : Practical Software Engineering - Wszeborowska, Drury & Locke - ADC22 ADC X Dynamic Cast - Practical Software Engineering In the workshop we will share some techniques used in everyday programming work in order to prepare you for contributing to large code bases we deal with in professional contexts. We will discuss how to read and analyze code, find entry points into a complex system in order to add features or debug problems as well as make sure your code is well-designed and therefore easy to maintain, change or build upon. We’ll also look into building and sharing your programs. Dynamic Cast - Who Are We? Dynamic Cast is a peer-to-peer C++ study group, a safe space for underrepresented groups (women, LGBTQIA+, minority ethnic). Both Dynamic Cast workshops at ADC are designed to create an entry point to the industry for newcomers, everyone is welcome. Slides: link will be updated when available. _ Anna Wszeborowska Anna is a freelance software developer and a PhD student at the Creative Computing Institute, University of the Arts, London. She’s worked on music production and live performance tools for the last 8 years. During her time at Ableton she contributed to the integration of the company's flagship product Live with Cycling ’74’s Max, worked on the second edition of Ableton's hardware product Push and was part of the team responsible for the company's instruments and effects.
