No Compensation, no Land for Infrastructure-Adjumani cultural leaders put Government on notice.
Fresh land wrangles have emerged between district officials and cultural leaders over the contentious communal land that was donated by locals to host thousands of refugees from neighboring countries in Adjumani district. The disagreements resulted from government’s plans of mapping all government infrastructural projects on this land, a decision that was quashed by the cultural leaders claiming that government is intending to grab their land. This was at the local accountability meeting dubbed ‘’Baraza’’ held by the Office of the Prime Minister in Adjumani Town Council. Details in this report;
