Pilgrimage to the Holy Land with the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre

Come along with us on a Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, as experienced by the Knights and Dames of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem! Members of the Order support many Catholic service agencies - hospitals and orphanages - as well as universities in the Holy Land. Their pilgrimage uniquely weaves together tracing the footsteps of Jesus, coupled with the lived experience of the Christian community in the Holy Land. A pilgrimage to the Holy Land also is a pledge made by members of the Order, and they receive their pilgrim shells from the Latin Patriarchate as formal recognition of their pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The origins of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem are generally thought to date back to the First Crusade, when the Crusade’s leader, Godfrey de Bouillon, liberated Jerusalem.
