In this meditation, the heart of the National Meeting of the Army of Saint Michael is powerfully revealed: the Great Reconquest is God restoring the “abandoned house” that each of us once was. It is not enough to begin with Jesus—it is necessary to persevere, and the key to this path, as it was with Saint John at the foot of the Cross, is to live “clinging to the Mother”: “Behold your mother.” Whoever wants to finish well needs the refuge of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, so as not to lose heart at the narrow gate, nor flee in the hour of trial. With simple catechesis full of faith, we are led to the two pillars of Don Bosco: the Eucharist and Our Lady Help of Christians—the two hearts, the two witnesses, the strength that sustains the Church when the sea is turbulent. Therefore, the Miraculous Medal and the devotion of the Five First Saturdays are not “amulets,” but signs that push us back to the sacraments, to confession, to communion, to real conversion: the reconquest of the terrain of the heart for God. And as a weapon of tenderness and combat, the Green Scapular also emerges, with the simple supplication that spans days and nights: “Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death.” Amidst testimonies, healings, conversions, and tears, a direct and decisive invitation remains: enter into the Heart of your Mother—and never let go.
