For the two sets in the cozy Jazzclub atmosphere of the Kleiner Sendesaal at Cologne’s Funkhaus, principal conductor, saxophonist, and arranger Mintzer has put together a special program: music by Herbie Hancock, one of jazz’s great innovators. Mintzer draws on his own arrangements, which he wrote in the early 1980s for the Mel Lewis Jazz Orchestra, and supplements them with new arrangements.
