Culebra! The Friendly Pirates ep.33 (Spanish Virgin Islands)

Episode 33 of the sailing adventure takes place in my favorite island to date, Culebra. It is one of the many islands that make up the "Spanish virgins" and is located about 17 miles east of the mainland Puerto Rico. It is covered with breathtaking beaches including Playa Flaminco, which has been rated third best beach in the world for 2014 by tripadvisor and in November 2017 Forbes rated it #19 of the top 50 beaches around the world. Culebra has a small island vibe, and it only took me about a week before I knew just about everyone on the island. This was a new experience for me and something that I greatly miss and I am excited to return at a future date. Based on its close proximity to mainland Puerto Rico and cheap fast ferry access it is a great place for friends to come visit...this is exactly what this episode is about - my good friend of many years coming to visit and adventure in the Caribbean.
