Family vlogger Ruby Franke and her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt have been charged with six counts of felony child abuse each and are being held without bail. Franke, who gained prominence through her now-defunct YouTube channel "8 Passengers," was arrested alongside Hildebrandt after Franke's 12-year-old son was found emaciated with open wounds and duct tape on his limbs. Her 10-year-old daughter was also discovered in a similar malnourished condition at Hildebrandt's residence. The case has attracted widespread attention, causing technical difficulties during a livestream of the court hearing due to high viewer numbers. The two are scheduled for another court appearance on September 21.
