« Mmiri, Mizu, Water» the new piece of the choreographer Tchekpo Dan Agbetou gathers three dancers of the three continents Africa, Asia and Europe to interpret their distinct relation to water. It has been be presented for the first time on stage November, 16th within the «Biennale Passages 14» in DansArt THEATRE of Bielefeld. Water is the basic element of life, a public property, as well as a human right. However, it is also the strongest element which decisively influences our climate and weather phenomena that are linked to it and thus shows often its dark side too. The encounter of 3 persons from three different continents, who tell their story... The Nigerian dancer from Africa knows the water shortage. The Japanese dancer from Asia found out the danger of the water which surrounds her island.
