One if the best way to save money on a safari is you stay at a camp but do your own drive with your own vehicle. People don't realize it sometimes but game drives with a safari vehicle and a guide can go for a few hundreds of dollars a day. This time we decided to take our own Land Rover, bring some snacks and go explore Lake Elmenteita in the Nakuru region of Kenya. The camp we stayed at was the Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp and we love it. It made us think of the famous The Cliff also in Nakuru without the actual cliff but at a much more affordable price. And we still saw thousands of beautiful pink flamingos.
