What does an Occupational Therapist Do?
April is Occupational Therapy (OT) Month. Occupational therapists "help people [of all ages] participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday activities." These daily activities are also known as "occupations." Some of the things an OT does include helping people live life to the fullest by enhancing function, supporting skills for the job of living, improving strength, and using assistive technology. At Gaylord, our OTs bring back fun to being functional! Learn more about Gaylord: https://www.gaylord.org
