Their costumes were loud -- fake leopard with tennis ball-green trim -- and the music decidedly odd for a figure skating competition -- two operatic sopranos literally meowing their way through Rossini's 'Comic Duet For Two Cats.' But from those odd choices, Soviet pair Elena Bechke and Denis Petrov put together one of the most popular programs skated at the Tacoma Dome Thursday night. Bechke and Petrov were decidedly feline in all of their choreography -- their routine could easily fit into the Broadway show 'Cats' -- and the judges and the sellout crowd were equally approving.
