Warpradius - turn Ableton Push3 into a percussion pad

Warpradius is a Max for Live device that turns Ableton Push 3 into a radial percussion controller. It's a position-sensing striker for a physical model. Instead of treating the 8×8 pad matrix as separate drum pads, warpradius reads MPE strike position and maps it to continuous radius values — 0 at the center of the head, 1 at the rim. That radius drives a modal filterbank (a Bessel membrane resonator), so where you strike the grid changes the timbre the way hitting the center vs. the edge of a real drumhead would. The pads light up as concentric rings to show the radial layout, with a flash on each strike. Thanks to Ersatz Ben, whose video first put Bessel functions on my radar, and Philip Meyer, who was a big influence in developing the gen~ version. Normally, the warpradius device configures Push's settings for you. If for some reason it doesn't, set the following manually on Push (setup menu → Expression): Expression Mode = MPE Note Pitch Bend = Automatic or on In Tune Location = Pad In Tune Width = min (0mm) Slide Height = max (16mm) And set scale on Push to Sequential/chromatic (not 3rds/4ths/In-Key).
