The Real Problem With Lolcows

Lolcows are internet figures who are "milked" for laughs sometimes unwittingly. These Lolcows include people like Tophiachu, Joshua Block, Chris Chan, and others who came to a level of internet "fame" due to their antics. But today I really wanted to discuss in a video essay how these Lolcows actually generally come to fame at first due to things like their physical appearances or actions that are seen as odd (many of these lolcows are neurodivergent). We also dive deeper into some of the communities that spring up around these figures. Subreddits, forums, and other places are dedicated to these figures and often insult these people, dehumanizing them and treating them like characters while tempering any insults about things like their appearances or neurodivergence behind the fact that these Lolcows often engage in problematic and disturbing actions...
