Thailand Is Changing Its Entry Rules 🇹🇭 | Safer Travel or More Restrictions? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thailand’s visa and entry rules are changing again—but are these changes designed to attract quality tourists and make Thailand a safer, better holiday destination? In today’s Bangkok vlog, we begin around Saphan Taksin BTS Station, explore the vibrant local atmosphere, and take the shuttle boat across the Chao Phraya River to Iconsiam. Along the way, I discuss Thailand’s newly approved visa framework, including the planned reduction of the general 60-day visa exemption, the return of 30-day visa-free entry for many nationalities, and the important update for Indian passport holders. Under the announced framework, India will move from Visa on Arrival to a 30-day visa exemption. Other countries and territories will be placed into 30-day visa exemption, 15-day visa exemption, or Visa on Arrival categories. However, these new measures are not active yet. They are still awaiting publication in the Royal Gazette and will take effect 15 days after publication. Until then, the current visa and entry conditions continue to apply. Travellers should always check the latest information with the official Thai embassy or consulate before travelling. After discussing the visa changes, we explore Iconsiam during Bangkok’s low season, check the atmosphere and crowds, enjoy some food, visit the Apple Store, and finally pick up the new camera that I had pre-ordered. We end the day from one of Iconsiam’s most beautiful upper sections, enjoying incredible views across Bangkok and the Chao Phraya River.
