Living Buddha Lian Sheng’s 82nd Birthday Part 1 🎂莲生活佛為大家慶生82大壽

July 2, 2026 is our beloved Guru, Living Buddha Lian Sheng, Grandmaster Sheng-Yen Lu’s 82nd birthday. In celebration of his birthday, fellow disciples began preparing well in advance. Under the leadership of Master Lian He and Master Lian Jia, this wonderful and spectacular performance brought together fellow disciples from around the world, each offering their time and heartfelt dedication. Some took on leading roles, some performed on stage, while others were responsible for editing, directing, scene settings, costumes, props, music, and many behind-the-scenes efforts, all of which made this celebration truly meaningful and memorable! These birthday offerings are filled with the disciples’ deepest gratitude to Grandmaster and their heartfelt prayer that he will long remain in the world and continue turning the great dharma wheel. It grandly opens with Ellis—Grandmaster’s youngest granddaughter—performing the lion dance, while Grandmaster plays the drum and her mother, Dharma Sister Fo-Ching, plays the cymbals. At the temple hall, Nicole, a ten-year-old from Indonesia, performs an award-winning song. It is followed by a heartfelt offering dance led by Rev. Lian Yi from Thailand, praying for the lineage through three rounds representing the Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana. Next come a lively dance by the Rainbow Temple Music Team, an amazing martial arts performance led by Elder Master Lian Xiong from Toronto, Seattle’s famous Four Beauties, the comedy “The Daydream of Xiao An, Taiwan Indigenous Harvest Dance, and Money Shower Dance.” In the comedy, the shower of riches by Drashi Lhamo from Liaoning receives the warmest response from the audience. Many people in the True Buddha School have won grand lotteries, and these ladies from the Grasslands are no exception, showering money everywhere they go. This is only the first half of the performance.
