We explored Kalpa & Reckong Peo in Kinnaur Himachal Pradesh. Reckong Peo is the capital of Kinnaur District in Himachal Pradesh. Reckong Peo & Kalpa are about 575 Kms from Delhi. We had darshan at the most famous temple of Reckong Peo that is Maa Chandike Durga Ji Temple, After having darshan we explored the market of Reckong Peo which is famous for its Kinnauri shawls and Rajma. Kinnaur is most famous for its Apple. Reckong Peo is at a height of 2400 Mtr above sea level. Kalpa is a small village in the Sutlej river valley, above Reckong Peo in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. Kalpa is just 7 Kms from Reckong Peo. Kalpa receives heavy snow in the winters. Kalpa is 2800 Mtr above sea level. While exploring Kalpa we visited Lochawa La Khang ( Monastery ), Maa Chandika Devi Ji Kila, Narayan Nagini Temple, Shree Brahma Vishnu Narayan Ji Temple. From Kalpa on can have a beautiful view of the sacred Kinner Kailash Peak. Kinner Kailash is one of the Panch Kailash and considered very sacred among hindus.
