Common Wurlitzer 2204 Jukebox Issues, Adjustments, and Fixes

This 2204 Wurlitzer Jukebox was sitting in a garage for years with an amp that wasn't working. After fixing the amp there was a series of issues that were experienced with the Jukebox. The first problem was that the same record was playing over and over again. This issue was solved by lubricating the pawls on the record carousel and disengaging the service lever and turning it manually until it engaged and locked into the selection wheel. Once the jukebox was moved inside, the records were not being centered on the record clamp causing the fly wheel and motor to stop. This was a result of the plastic tray which had shifted during the move and was blocking the record arm from fully extending as the Record Playing plate was binding on the plastic tray. The selector switch also was not engaging and that was a result of a seized solenoid in the coin box. Some contact cleaner with lubricant was used to free it up. The last issue was the cartridge had dislodged from the tone arm and sound could only be heard from the record and not through the speakers. This was solved by removing the cartridge and cleaning the contacts with some DeOxit and replacing the cartridge so that it was firmly seated with the pins in the tone arm.
