Y’s Bang On! is an all season unisex collection comprising men’s styles with each pattern assigned a number name. The line name of Bang On is derived from the Japanese word bango, meaning “number.” The “Y’s” shown on the clothing tags was handwritten especially for this line by the brand’s founder, Yohji Yamamoto. This collection includes items created from adaptions of old archived patterns, and each piece is completed by hand stamping its tag with the model (pattern) number, also handwritten by Yohji Yamamoto. Crafted by our design team, this exclusive line is only available at Y’s Omotesando, Matsuzakaya Nagoya, the Yohji Yamamoto online boutique, and randomly selected stores. Y’s Bang On! items have used the same pattern with a variety of different fabrics. Because only a small quantity of items are produced in each fabric, and because the same model (pattern/number) is never used twice with the same fabric, each item in this line is a rare, limited-availability piece with high value.
