About JNV Jethian Gaya Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Jethian, Gaya was established in 1987 in accordance with NPE, 1986. It is situated in a 26-acre plot surroundings with beautiful mountains near the famous Gehlore Ghati (A place known for Dashrat Manjhi, Mountain man) of District- Gaya, Bihar State. The Vidyalaya is at a distance of 40 Km from Gaya Station and 60 Km from famous Bodhgaya tree. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya are fully residential, co-educational schools affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi having classes up to 12 standard. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous Organization under the ministry of HRD, Government of India, manages these Vidyalayas. Admission to these Vidyalayas is through a test called JNVST to Class VI. Children are predominantly from rural areas and there is 30% reservation of girls.
