Currently, the way career paths are organized in Vietnam, we have not distinguished between expertise and management. This leads to a situation where many people are forced to follow the inertia, that is, if they work for a long time, they will become managers. (Of course, there are many people who have successfully transformed into good managers and from there continue to be happy with their new position: a manager. These cases will be especially favorable because in addition to the management ability - which they have equipped themselves - they also have a previous professional foundation, which will help their management work much more effectively). But besides that, there are also many cases where their passion lies entirely in the professional field (design, programming, ...) - management work is absolutely not something they love and have the qualities to do. If this situation continues, we will lose a group of good experts and gain a group of bad managers. — My talk focuses on this group – those who, although not suitable for management jobs, are accidentally placed in positions that are contrary to their abilities and interests, leading to the result that your work is increasingly deadlocked. The main message I want to convey is that we do not necessarily have to become managers if we are not interested and do not have the qualities to do that job. We can absolutely have a successful career without having to choose the management path. — In addition, I also want to contribute a voice to companies. From the company's perspective, we must have a direction to organize human resources so that our employees can easily choose one of the two paths (management and expertise). The company's responsibility is to create the best environment for its employees to work effectively and successfully.
