The Christmas season kicks off in early December with the Feast of the Immaculate Conception on December 8th is a national public holiday in Italy, known as "Festa dell'Immacolata." and you can really feel the city getting into the spirit. Shops are decked out with festive windows, and every morning there seem to be more sparkling lights popping up all over the city’s hotspots. Florence really knows how to do Christmas right — blending its art, architecture, and history into the most stunning light display.
