Meet Koji Okamoto — The future of nuclear safety (Audio:EN, Subs:EN|JP)
Koji Okamoto is a professor of engineering with an interest in improving the safety of nuclear power. His lab explores new designs for nuclear reactor components that can reduce or even remove any chance of something going wrong. They also work on decommissioning the infamous Fukushima Daiichi power plant, with things like new materials that can help contain nuclear waste to prevent further environmental contamination.
