Rising Lake Naivasha waters displace thousands of locals
Lake Naivasha’s rapidly rising water levels have submerged homes, roads, and farmlands, forcing more than 5,000 residents to seek higher ground. Displaced families are now living in makeshift shelters. Scientists attribute the surge in water levels across the Rift Valley lakes to a combination of climate-driven irregular rainfall and human activity.
