Montana Rail Link Vol. 2, The West End - Updated FULL VIDEO (2016)

In this 2016 C. Vision release, we cover MRL's 3rd, 4th, 9th, and 10th Subdivisions, comprising the railroad's west end lines. This territory includes MRL's mainline between Helena, Montana and Sandpoint, Idaho, along with the Evaro Hill route between DeSmet and Paradise, and the Darby branch south of Missoula. The steep grades of Mullan Pass and Evaro Hill are featured in this program, along with extensive coverage of the Gas Local between Missoula and Thompson Falls, Montana. Before the job was eliminated, MRL's Paradise Local was seen in operation with pairs of the railroad's classic GP9s. MRL's 20-cylinder SD45s make plenty of appearances in this video as well, along with many scenes of the railroad's SD70ACe and SD40-2XR locomotives. MRL 290, the only SDP40 on the roster, was captured leading trains on the 3rd and 10th Subdivisions.
