Welcome to the IEOA(Island Equipment Owners Association) Christmas Light truck parade. Before we dive into this magnificent parade, let's take a moment to acknowledge the land we stand on—the unceded territory of the Lekwungen people of the Esquimalt and Songhees First Nations. This magnificent parade showcases over 80 commercial trucks and buses. My vantage point was standing at the old Victoria fire hall on Yates st. Listen as the trucks toot their horns as they roll along the city streets. This is the 24th year of the IEOA parade and it is a significant fundraiser and food drive for local food banks.
