Range-restricted Hummingbird of Colombia

The Chestnut-bellied Hummingbird is endemic to a small range of the eastern Andes Mountains in north-central Colombia. It has a glittering green head, neck and upper chest and an orange abdomen. The tail is bright rusty brown. The beak is straight with a reddish lower mandible. There were many of these birds here at Mango-Macho, so this is a great place to see it. Our old friends the White-bellied Woodstar, both male and female were here. Also the showy Indigo-capped Hummingbird and the Black-throated Mango.
