Hello friends. Audi has officially unveiled the new generation of its iconic A6 Allroad Quattro all-terrain station wagon. Yes, this guy is alive and kicking. The model is returning to the global market after a four-year hiatus and, according to the company, is intended to become an alternative to the same-style crossovers that have filled the roads. And it just might succeed. But as always, I suggest starting with the exterior, and there's one special feature about the new generation. The designers from Ingolstadt took a bold step and, for the first time, decided to develop an aggressive body kit for this model, featuring flared wheel arches and prominent front fenders, previously reserved exclusively for the sporty flagship RS6. This decision radically altered the car's proportions: with an overall length of 5 meters, the new model is almost 2 meters wide, meaning it's 111 mm wider than the standard A6 Avant station wagon and 84 mm wider than the previous generation. The model's off-road character is further emphasized by a new, massive radiator grille with a large honeycomb structure, glossy black accents in the side air intakes of the front bumper, protective plastic bodywork along the entire perimeter of the lower body, and a unique rear skirt with a prominent skid plate that mimics a diffuser. Customers who prefer a more discreet and premium appearance can order these protective elements in matte silver chrome with aluminum roof rails. Using glossy plastic in the bodywork of such a car may not seem the best choice, but what won't you do for beauty?
