Of the many chassis variants ever marketed by the Mercedes-Benz brand, this one is perhaps the most popular and still relied upon by several bus companies. These chassis variants are, of course, the Mercedes-Benz OH 1521 and its larger sibling, the OH 1518, a chassis type often referred to as the Mercy Kuler by our community and a favorite for its excellent durability. Unfortunately, sales of this chassis ended in the late 1990s, and in the 2000s, it was replaced by the Mercy Elektrik chassis generation. However, because the Kuler series remains a favorite among some operators, Mercedes-Benz once introduced a chassis with a similar code, but equipped with a more modern engine and technology.
