One common denominator from both US and Iranian statements is that the ceasefire will include Lebanon, although divergence remains over what exactly that means. Israel has made it clear what it means to them: it will not withdraw from its so-called “security zones” in Lebanon, or Syria, or Gaza. Nor do they seem particularly happy about the deal… One Israeli had this to say on X: “To Trump's credit, he actually said he would accept no agreement other than complete surrender, he just didn't specify whose.” However, the online bets on Netanyahu’s political survival are looking generally positive for the incumbent Prime Minister.
