Competing for $1,000... and Striking Out

Not every tournament ends with a trophy, and this one was a tough lesson. In this video, I compete in the SML Bassmasters Open on Smith Mountain Lake with $1,000 on the line. After putting together a game plan and feeling confident heading into tournament day, things just didn't go my way. From missed opportunities to tough decisions on the water, this tournament humbled me and reminded me why bass fishing is one of the most challenging sports out there. While the results weren't what I hoped for, every tournament is an opportunity to learn, grow, and trust God's plan—whether we win or lose. Join me as I break down the day, share what went wrong, and talk about the lessons I'll be taking into the next event.
