Varosha, Cyprus- The Lost Buildings & Tall Tales.

'An elite is someone who's for themselves and not for the country.' Steve Bannon. Video project on Varosha, a suburb in the city of Famagusta in Cyprus. Regarded as a 'Ghost Town' by many since the events of 1974. A section of the settlement was opened up to the public in 2020, and visitors from around the world have entered to see first hand what happens to a place that was devoid of human habitation for nearly 50 years. The structures of the buildings are in a sorry state with half needing to be demolished in light of a lack of maintenance or repair over the decades. A majority of the shops, houses and businesses have been looted, except a select few. This film focuses on the history of some of the buildings and the consequences of political stalemate that is Cyprus.
